Carer of the month – Patience

“She has planted lots of vegetables and salad and is also tidying up the garden so that it will be nice for my mother-in-law in the summer, when she will hopefully be able to get out of bed. In addition, and even more special is the way that Patience speaks to my mother-in-law as a person, not as a patient. She spends time reassuring her when she’s feeling down or worried about something and has already become a very important part of our family.

Another extra bonus for the family is that Patience is a fantastic conversationalist who engages in really interesting topics of conversation with anyone and everyone which is great for stimulating our brains as well as my mother-in-laws. Anyone who gets Patience as a carer has truly hit the jackpot.”
