Ritah

“Ritah has been a dedicated carer for my parents since she joined us in March. She keeps the house and my parents spotless and deals with their everyday needs efficiently and with genuine care. Increasingly, however, she has also taken on responsibility for dealing with nurses and doctors and has, on several occasions, made the decision to call 111 for advice or medical assistance. It has been extremely reassuring to know that she is willing and able to raise any medical or other issues (such as my father’s behaviour change due to UTIs) in a timely manner.

Over the last few weeks, however, Ritah has been a true Superstar. She has dealt with: my father’s chest and urine infections (and consequent refusal to take medication) and severe rash – persistently calling 111 or GP for medical help; Spotting a possible TIA and calling 999 for my Mum; regular external carer going down with Covid – dealing with relief carers and then both parents also going down with Covid; regular checking on both parents temperatures and Dad’s hallucinations. As you can imagine, I consider her an absolute treasure, and she has my total confidence, which is extremely reassuring as I do not live locally.”
