FAQ's

Care can be confusing, and sometimes difficult to talk
about. We’ve answered some common questions below. 

How much you work is up to you. With Elder you can choose which placements you’d like to apply for, and work with multiple clients at once to create a weekly work schedule that meets your needs. 

This gives you freedom to apply your skills and experience as you see fit, and the flexibility to take on additional placements if you want them.

Our intuitive platform helps self-employed carers find work that meet their needs, and communicate with the families they match with. Our platform also makes it easier to apply for and manage work, book breaks, and find the right support in our help centre, or from dedicated team who are available by phone or through live chat. 

Elder also takes care of the tricky stuff, such as managing your payments, and organising cover when you take a break. We also provide ongoing support through the Elder Hub app and emergency helpline for when you’re on placement.

We don’t currently offer overnight shifts to hourly carers. If you’d like to work overnight, you may be interested in our live-in care placements.
