You’ve reached us outside of our opening hours. Create your account to get access to My Elder, our online portal for arranging care and accessing information to support your journey to care.

How it works

1

Talk us through your routine and what you want to get from life by completing our simple form.

2

We’ll use the information you provide to find an assistant who most matches your needs and preferences.

3

We’ll send your new assistant everything they need to know so you get the service you expect from day one.

A little about us…

We connect retired and elderly people in the UK with the country’s best personal assistants (PAs). People choose Elder because they’re looking for a little more independence and free time to do the things they love in later life.

What happens next?

It’s very simple. We work with you and your family to introduce you to the perfect PA for you. Each PA has their own profile and video for you to watch to give you a first impression of who they are. If you like the look of them, you can either have a chat with them on the phone first, or request to meet them in person for a trial week of their services.

Does your PA live with you?

Yes. If you like your PA and think you’ve picked the perfect person, they’ll move into a spare bedroom in your home. This way your PA is available to you round the clock. But it’s always just one day at a time and, of course, you’re free to request your PA to leave whenever suits you.

What will your PA do?

Whatever you like. Thousands of people in the UK live with one of our PAs and they’re all different. Most of the time, the two become close friends and they do a lot of lovely things together socially, in and out of the home. But our PAs also take care of cooking, cleaning, shopping, and getting around.

How involved will you be?

This is all about you and we’d love you to be as involved as you like. But, at the same time, if you’d rather nominate a loved one to be our primary point of contact, that’s absolutely fine and something lots of other people do.
