What Elder is doing to support the safety of customers and carers.
At Elder, we know how important trust and transparency is when caring for vulnerable people.
We believe it’s important that every customer can make an informed choice, and feel confident that the measures you choose have been taken to keep your loved ones as safe as possible from COVID-19. So, we want to provide you with clear information regarding the vaccination status of Elder-approved carers.
What’s Elder’s position as an Introductory agency?
At Elder, we match those needing care with self-employed carers. We do not employ carers directly, and cannot insist they get vaccinated.
So, what is Elder doing?
We know from speaking with our customers that 63% would feel uncomfortable receiving care from an unvaccinated carer. So, we’ve been inviting carers to disclose their COVID-19 vaccination status to us.
When logging into the Elder platform, carers are prompted to self-report their status, and to date, the majority of Elder-approved carers (74%) have reported they are fully vaccinated.
When choosing the right carer for a loved one, customers can now view each carer’s self-reported vaccination status on their profile, to help bring peace of mind.
