If you had to describe Margaret in just three words, what would they be?
Caring, professional, and understanding.
Margaret is truly passionate about helping others, and came to live-in care after working in a hospital for over ten years.
She loves to put a smile on the faces of those she cares for, and one of the ways she does this is by making plenty of time to listen to stories from their lives. She enjoys really getting to know people.
In her spare time Margaret loves to cook, go shopping and catch up on their favourite TV programmes.
Margaret is a calm, considerate and incredibly positive person, and hugely deserving of this months’ accolade. Take a look at Ann’s nomination below.
“Margaret has worked with my friend, Betty, for nearly two years. She has always shown complete respect for Betty. Her communication skills with Betty are excellent and she is constantly trying to keep Betty engaged.
Her care skills are excellent too, and the care which she gives to Betty shows that she is totally competent in all that she does. She provides appetising meals and encourages Betty to eat and drink. Margaret has a sunny outlook on life and is always cheerful and positive.
Nothing is too much trouble. She is totally committed to Betty’s welfare and looks after her exceptionally well. Betty is totally reliant on Margaret for all her needs and the relationship between them is very positive.
Margaret is always kind towards Betty and engages with her in a way that Betty can appreciate. As Betty’s friend Margaret works very well with me and will keep me updated on any needs that Betty may have. We are very lucky to have Margaret.”
