Helen's story - finding the ideal short-term care

I have tried several agencies to seek a respite live-in carer for my 96-year-old Mum.

I rate Elder highly because I could do most of the administrative work online. So I recorded lots of information about my Mum's needs and condition, and the living accommodation and locality so that Carers could look at the post and decide if they would like to apply. Once applications are made, I am notified and sent biographies, and a small recorded video.

I found the videos particularly helpful in deciding which carer would be the best match for Mum.

Having provisionally chosen someone, there is the opportunity to get in touch with them directly for a chat, and exchange specific questions, before confirming the booking.

I get helpful email reminders to review the uploaded data and see if I need to update it.

All carers are DBS checked, vetted, and interviewed by Elder before taking them on. I have used Carers from Elder on three occasions now, and I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for the same short-term live-in care.
