Friends who care terms and conditions

1. Referral Guidelines

All referrals should be made by following the guidelines set out below:
a. the “refer a friend incentive” is only redeemable by selected existing carers (Referrer)
of Elder Technologies LTD (ETL).  Each Referrer must be engaged by ETL under a
contract for services;
b. each Referrer may refer as many prospective carers (each a Prospective Carer) as
they wish, however, the referral of the Prospective Carer can only be made once.
ETL will not accept any referrals where the Prospective Carer has been introduced to
ETL via any other source.  Where a referral of a Prospective Carer is made by more
than one Referrer, the Referral Incentive will be paid to the person from whom the
referral was received and documented first;
c. if the Prospective Carer has previously registered with Elder, the referral shall be
void;
d. the referral will only be accepted by ETL where both the Referrer and the Prospective
Carer have followed the process out in paragraph 2 below; and
e. “Name only” referrals will not qualify for the Referral Incentive; and
f. any Referrer who submits a referral must not have any involvement in any aspects of
the onboarding process for the Prospective Carer. This includes initial CV screening,
interview short listing, involvement in the interview process and input at offer stage.
The referral will be automatically void if the Referrer becomes involved in the process
and the Referrer will not receive the Referral Incentive.

2. Process for making Referrals

If you fall within the guidelines set out above, and have a Prospective Carer who you would
like to refer to ETL, please follow these steps:
g. if you have been selected to participate in the “Refer a Friend” initiative, you will be
emailed a link specific to you (a personalised link);
h. you may then share that personalised link with Prospective Carers;
i. the Prospective Carer must click on the link, at which point they will be directed to a
landing page; and
j. on the landing page, the Prospective Carer must submit their details.
ETL will keep track of the personalised link in order to identify which carer has referred each
respective Prospective Carer.

3. Successful Referrals

For a referral to be deemed successful (i.e. for the Referrer to receive the Referral Incentive),
the following criteria must be met:
k. the Prospective Carer must satisfactorily complete ETL’s onboarding process;
l. the Prospective Carer must accept a placement, under a contract for services, with
ETL; andm. the Prospective Carer must complete either: (i) the full duration of their accepted
placement; or (ii) 14 days on a placement with ETL, whichever is greater.

4. Referral Incentive

n. Both the Referrer and the Prospective Carer will each receive a £100 cash payment
after the Prospective Carer has met the placement criteria set out in paragraph 3(c)
above (Referral Incentive).
o. If the Referrer: (i) has served notice to terminate their contract with ETL, (ii) has
breached the terms of their contract with ETL; and/or (iii) is removed from ETL’s
platform after the Prospective Carer has met the placement criteria set out in
paragraph 3(c) above, but before the Referral Incentive has been paid, the Referral
Incentive for the Referrer will not be processed by ETL. For the avoidance of doubt,
provided the Prospective Carer has met the placement criteria set out in paragraph
3(c) above, the Prospective Carer will still receive their Referral Incentive.
p. Confirmation of payment of the Referral Incentive will be made in writing to both the
Referrer and the Prospective Carer (via their given email address) within seven (7)
days of the Prospective Carer meeting the placement criteria set out in paragraph
3(c) above.
q. The Referral Incentive shall be transferred to both the Referrer and the Prospective
Carer (to their registered bank account details with a UK clearing bank) within 28
days of the Prospective Carer meeting the placement criteria set out in paragraph
3(c) above.
r. Tax Implications: all Referral Incentives will be subject to tax. You should seek the
advice of an accountant or financial adviser to clarify your tax status. By participating
in ETL’s carer referral scheme, you accept full responsibility for informing yourself of
these, and for paying such taxes, duties, levies, charges and other liabilities.

5. Other provisions

s. ETL reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate these terms and conditions
and the referral program, at any time, in its sole discretion.
t. ETL accepts no responsibility or any loss, damage or liability caused in connection
with the carer referral program.
